A Minton majolica garden seat designed by Christopher Dresser, a similar example exhibited in the 1862 London Exhibition (circa 1870-80) the spreading seat with open sides, crisply moulded with a formal design of foliate scrolls, flowers and Gothic motifs, glazed in predominantly yellow, green, brown and turquoise, impressed mark, shape number 940
