Saber of an officer of the national volunteers, around 1792, revolutionary period, XVIII°. Golden brass frame, plumed helmet cap with lion's head and long plain tail. Filigree leather rocket with twisted red copper wire. Full and plain joining arc, followed by a guard plate furnished with two lictor beams with confronting axes and on the back the club of Hercules quillon ending in a palmette. Blade with flat back with central groove and superior to 1 edge of 72.5 cm in length and counter edge in point of 18 cm. Blade width at heel: 3.5 cm. Total length: 88 cm Weight: 740 grs.
