A compact Japanese drum - Taiko. The instrument is probably made of Keyaki wood and the neck is softwood. Original drum hammer included. The instrument is signed and produces a deep and pleasant sound. Japan, 19th century / early 20th century. Length 48cm, width 25cm. Good condition, small hole in the leather on one side of the drum.
