Very fine carving and slightly yellow patina of the most famous deity of the seven gods of good fortune (shishi fuku-jin), his belly nicely rounded, with his fan in his right hand and leaning on his bag supposed to contain precious things or everything just food. Ho-tei is always depicted smiling. Signed Period: Meiji (1868-1912). Height 4cm.
