"Pair Of Directoire Period Armchairs."
Pretty pair of mahogany armchairs in the "Etruscan style". The reverse bandeau backrest is embellished with a diamond-shaped openwork grid. The round, tapered front legs are topped with column armrests. All the sculptures are made in the mass. (A few small gaps in the rosettes visible in the photos). Horsehair trim dressed in an old cotton with fine stripes. Mahogany and mahogany veneer. Paris, early 19th century.
