Rare large square Moud Mahi carpet, originating from the region of the city bearing the same name, located about 300 kms from Macchad in Iran, known especially for its wonderful carpets.
The Moud are high quality rugs, we recognize two types: the "Moud Mahi", with herati motifs and having a beige star-shaped medallion, either in shades of light red, light blue, orange like our model and the "Moud Garden" only decorated with herati motifs without medallion.
Our model is made of the best quality wool, all on a cotton weft for a density of approximately 450,000 knots per M2.
The usual use of silk makes it possible to enhance the shine of the pile so these rugs always have silk in the manufacturing mixture.
This rug is in superb condition while possessing a magnificent decor typical of these rooms.
The fringes are clean and in very good condition, the velvet is superb.
This rug has been professionally and environmentally cleaned.
