"Wooden Sculpture "female Figure", Late 15th Century"
Hardwood sculpture from the late 15th century, datable to upper Veneto. It represents a female figure characterized by a draped dress, as was the custom at the time. The work is hollowed out inside to avoid any movement due to temperature changes. The state of conservation of the work is discreet, it lacks limbs and parts of a foot, moreover the sculpture was originally polychrome, indeed some traces of plaster and lacquer are visible.
