"Watercolor Villerville Gabriel Lefevre"
View of the coast at Villerville with two fishermen bringing up the product of their catch. The watercolor is signed lower right by Gabriel Albert Marie Lefèvre who exhibited watercolors at the Salon des Artistes Français as a pupil of Antoine Guillemet (like Paul Cézanne) almost continuously between 1878 and 1894. He has many elsewhere exhibited a view of Villerville at the Salon of 1889. The watercolor is signed and dated 1891 lower right, dedicated to the famous art critic Albert Wolff who died that same year. The work is framed in a pretty wooden frame and gilded stucco with a few small accidents. The dimensions of the unframed watercolor are 23.4x31.4 cm
