"Clock Enameled Sterling Silver, Circa 1890-1910, Germany"
Lovely little bedside clock in gilded and enamelled solid silver. The goldsmith executed it in the neo-Gothic style or "cathedral style" as his contemporaries called it. The royal blue enamel is in perfect condition and has no chips. The watch mechanism can be easily dismantled and can be removed through the small door at the back to allow cleaning with liquid or rinsing with water. The entire surface of this object of virtue is covered with a thick layer of gold . The key to wind the watch is behind the mechanism. We cannot guarantee the working condition of the watch but it can be wound with the key. The two twisted columns on the front are in mother-of-pearl and are intact.
