Folk Art Showcase

Charming little showcase containing 12 characters, caricature busts depicting 18th century characters from the Court of Versailles.
Paper mache faces painted on a structure made with chestnuts.
Hair in wool or mohair, clothing in fabric and/or cut-out paper laminated on painted cardboard.
Turned wood plinths painted grey-blue.
Many figures adorned with decorations such as "Order of the Holy Spirit".
Busts of women embellished with small jewels.
The meticulousness with which the toilets, jewelry, hairstyles, facial expressions are represented, is extraordinary.

Each character measures approximately 8 cm in height.
They are presented in a 4-row wall-mounted glass case, surrounded by a gilded wooden frame.
