After Paul Louis Cyfflé (1724-1806), group in clay pipe biscuit representing the found bird Remarkable delicacy of the features, this statuette represents a gallant scene of a couple lying on tree trunks. The man holds in his hand a bird which seems to have escaped from a cage held by the woman. The details are of great precision. Original work by Paul Louis Cyfflé, produced here by the Toul Bellevue earthenware factory under the period of Jules Aubry 1860-1898. Very good overall condition, no breakage or lack, the earth having taken on a beautiful patina over time. What is surprising is that the title inscribed on the base does not correspond to the modeled group. It must be an error of the time, making it a rarity.
