"Regence Period Burgundy Stone Fireplace"
Burgundy stone fireplace, Regency period, 18th century, in perfect condition. Its slightly turbulent lintel, embellished with an acanthus in its center and a conch at its extremities, in projection, rests on console jambs, adorned with a fall of foliage and a reserve. A torus runs along its line of focus. Its two lintel returns, recently trimmed, are shown in our last photo. Two rabbets in the jambs originally maintained a narrow hearth, they can be sealed on request. Its length at the body is 141 cm. The dimensions of its hearth are 122 cm wide and 95 cm high.
