Entirely hand-knotted, pure wool, vegetable dyes, size: 290cmX190cm. Saraband rug is the trade name for Persian rugs woven in the mountainous region of Sar-e Band located south of Shahrestān of Arāk and east of Borujerd. Located in this region, the locality of Mālemir is at the origin of a neighboring trade name. The main motif used is the boteh miri, sometimes with a central diamond medallion, decorated with the boteh, and four spandrels which take up the motifs of the border, which is composed of narrow bands in different and alternating shades, decorated with the boteh or geometric motifs. .
