Desk In Solid Walnut, Louis XVI Style - 1920

This desk in blond walnut, top with a mitred frame, and cove and bec-de-corbin molding, is upholstered in a soft green cowhide leather, having an alternation of cold-pressed and gilded vignettes ; it is decorated with patterns at its corners and in the center. The front consists of drawers on each side, with a double appearance, with a large reserve, and a narrower central drawer. Each opens and closes with a lock and its original key in working order. The rest of the belt is sober, simply underlined by a molded strip on the bottom. The whole rests on four spindle-shaped legs, the central part of which has fixed grooves. The sides of this desk and the drawer bottoms in chestnut. A beautiful workmanship for this Louis XVI style flat desk in pretty leather.
