"Important Showcase Buffet, Attributed To La Maison E. Diot, Art Nouveau - 1900"
Showcase buffet in solid mahogany, attributed to the Parisian Maison Édouard Diot. The central body opens with two doors with ogee frames. The periphery is with flowerbeds and with breaking in the upper part. They have bronze entrances and an original lock with key. The interior is lined with a thick shelf, adjustable since on racks. The belt has two drawers, with eventful facades. They are equipped with chiseled pull handles, decorated with blooming flowers. A functional original lock, in the center, locks these drawers simultaneously. The tray, with a crushed groove, is surmounted, in a molded frame, by a bevelled mercury mirror. The latter is surmounted by a curved panel, with a border and interior moldings, and a curved shelf at the corners. Set back at the ends, two narrow cabinets with glass doors and paneled in the same style, are also equipped with authentic locks, in working order, with keys and entrances. They are each equipped with three adjustable shelves, placed on racks, and interchangeable if necessary. In the upper parts, arched uprights support a shelf. The whole rests on protruding feet, which are the extension of the molded uprights. This charismatic showcase sideboard will delight you with its elegant and totally contemporary lines. ********** Period: 1900 Excellent condition. Waxed finish after stripping.
