"Peasant Family In The Autumn Forest By Georg Fischhof (austrian, 1859-1914)"
The impressionist landscape with figures in the autumn forest was executed in 1912 by the Austrian landscape painter Georg Fischhof (1859 - 1914). He studied at first architecture, then at the art school for applied arts of Friedrich Sturm and at the Munich Academy. in 1899 he lived in Dachau and then moved to Vienna. Impressionism mood linked to maritime and forest motifs with animals (autumn; wild boar in the snow) as well as lake views and portraits. (Archduke Rainer, Duke and Duchess of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, Princess of Schleswig-Holstein Dora), also wall tapestries in some palaces of Viennese nobility, in the throne room of Klosterneuburg Abbey and entertainment clubs Viennese. Fischhof also worked under various pseudonyms, e.g. Tihany documents Claiton, Ducat and Wagner.
