"Flowery Heathered Silk Taffeta Ball Gown - France Circa 1955"
Circa 1955 -1960 France Beautiful summer ball dress in mottled taffeta with large bouquets of undulating carnations (?), without claws and dating from the 1950s. Superb crisp silk taffeta, printed on warp, probably from a Lyonnaise factory. Sleeveless dress, large V neckline on a curved bustier hugging the waist to the hip silhouette. Wide-bottom wrap skirt, fitted with small pleats on the hips. Side zipper and unlined. Beautiful hand-stitched finishes. This dress requires a petticoat. No flaw. Very nice freshness and good state of preservation. Dimensions: Equivalent size France 40-42. Height 122 cm, shoulders 38 cm, chest 95, waist 68 cm, hips 114 cm.
