Biography : Marcel-Louis Baugniet (1896-1995) was an important Belgian artist of the 20th century, painter but also illustrator, engraver and decorator. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels and throughout his career crossed many artistic currents : symbolism, social realism, cubism, surrealism and abstraction.
