"Joan Of Arc By Jb Germain"
Bronze statue produced between 1880 and 1900 after a work by JB Germain. Joan of Arc is in battle dress displaying a banner bearing the image of the Blessed Virgin and royal lilies. Beautiful state of presentation, cast iron and chasing executed with great care, some stains from seniority. An indication on the base specifies that this work was rewarded at the Salon. Jean-Baptiste Germain was born in Fismes in 1841, he was trained by Dumont and Gumery, member of the French Artists, his sculptures were exhibited at the Salon from 1866 to 1909.
