"Large 17th Century Flemish Copper Painting Banquet Scene"
Large and rare oil painting on copper from the Flemish school from the 17th century. It represents a banquet scene in the interior of a religious building. We see in the foreground a large table where there are several male and female guests, on the left is another group. The whole is produced against an architectural backdrop where a staircase, light fixtures and sculptures are mixed together. Joyful work from the 17th century, rare in its dimensions for a painting on copper, very characteristic of Flemish work, no doubt a follower of Francken. Some restorations and wear due to time but the colors have remained bright, rear frame.
