It is said that, because he could not find local framers, Marques made his own framers (Information not verified)

The painting is in very good original condition
Neither repainted nor restored, just infime miss of painting in the upper left, on the tree (see second last photo)

He is buried in the Ngombé cemetery in Kinshasa
