"Pair Of Double Obelisk Salts, Beautiful Louis XVI Model, Paris 1782"
Nice pair of double salerons, skeleton mounts entirely pierced, obelisk ended by a sphere on centre, decorated with oval medallions connected by friezes of scrollwork foliage, typically Louis XVI.On either side, two oval salt cellars each resting on four crooked feet, all beaded edges.
Hallmarks: the T of Paris 1782, mark of load with interlaced L, mark of master difficult to read.
Dimensions, 15cm x 15cm x 8cm; net weight, without glasses: 280gr.
Condition: at first glance, everything is fine. Looking very closely: minimal differences in the model: funny: in the fallout of the large ribbon tied from the obelica.. there is a slit at the base of a central medallion, and I have drawn 2 red arrows to indicate incomplete foliage on either side of the same saleron.
