19th Century French Empire Chandelier In Gilt Bronze With A Caryatid Carrying A Flame

Large antique Caryatide Empire French gilded bronze & dark green tole chandelier with 8 candle lights and one torch light in the center.

All the gilded parts are very nicely carved and the catcheye is of course the center part, a wonderful antique draped woman carrying a torch. Many gilded carved parts, leaves, fruits, flowers, angels.

Datation 19th century


Large and heavy: 9,8kg about 345 oz

Size of the chandelier 22 inch diameter and 39" tall

You can hang the chandelier as it is on the photos for standard ceiling or you can add a chain for higher ceiling or reduce the actual size. We can do this. 


Condition:

Perfect working condition

No part missing, the dak green tole parts are close to perfect for it’s age, only some light use on surface.

Gilded parts are in very nice condition, some light use on gold but gives fantastic patina in my opinion, please look at the photos.

Wiring, sockets and candles are not original and has been changed some years ago so in very good condition and all has been ferified, the chandelier is ready to be used in perfect security.

Note that the wiring is now ready to be used in USA, nothing to do, for other countries please ask before buying, we adapt for your country/voltage, nothing to add for adaptation.

Please note that the chandelier comes without bulbs. The 8 flame bulbs are E14 and it is a Small B22 in the center torch.
I give a B22/E14 converter for the torch if you prefer use a E14.
It is easy to find 110V or 220/240V E14 and B22 bulbs in your local electricity shop or on internet.
