"Mahogany Travel Trunk - 2nd Half Of The Nineteenth"
This trunk entirely in solid mahogany has above, a single framed board called "miter cut" on the sides and the front. The four faces are formed from a single width of plank without joints assembled at the corners by six dovetails. The lower part is made up of a plinth in relief whose edge is molded in the groove and two recessed wooden elements present over the entire length of the piece of furniture. This chest has an original double hook iron lock in perfect working order. The opening of the lid is done by original wrought iron hinges. A so-called "knee" compass keeps it in a vertical position. Its transport is made possible by the presence on the sides of wooden elements imprisoning rope handles. This trunk reflects through his soul, the many nautical miles he has traveled on the seas of the globe. It will bring authenticity to your home.
