Small Mahogany Dressing Table, Louis-philippe Period - 1st Part Of The Nineteenth flag

Object description :

"Small Mahogany Dressing Table, Louis-philippe Period - 1st Part Of The Nineteenth"
Small dressing table in burl veneer and solid mahogany, with recessed white marble, with oval central part with reserve. Set back, a psyche with domed octagonal frame in mahogany burl is darkened with an original mercury mirror. The assembly pivots and can be locked using brass buttons. This mirror is set in a support at the ends sculpted with scrolls at the top and circular motifs at the bottom. The belt, slightly in ogee, opens by a drawer with stops in front, wooden entry, and functional original lock accompanied by its key. This set rests on two pairs of twisted feet, set on cut-out bases. The latter are connected by a spacer, also twisted, to two vases in the center. This dressing table will stand out with the shape of its mirror, and the movement given to its base.
