Old facades of the restaurant "le petit zinc" which was also "L'assiette au beurre" in Paris. Manufactured by the Sarreguemines factory in 1900 by Eugène Martial Simas (1862-1939). Each panel is 160 cm high and 60 cm wide and consists of 44 glazed earthenware tiles (rosewood frame). A detailed study on the work of Mr. Simas was written by Constance Desanti for "the notebooks of the School of the Louvre". "... Finally, his works are exhibited almost every year at the Salon of the National Society of Fine Arts and at the Universal Exhibition of 1900..."
