"Jules Charles Choquet (1846-1934) - Paris Montmartre Watercolor Drawing Framed And Signed"
Original mixed technique on paper (watercolor, gouache and ink) 42 cm x 28 cm, sold with its frame under glass 66 cm x 52.5 cm, signed lower right Choquet, titled "Montmartre" and representing a snow-covered, lively street in Montmartre by two characters. Very good state of conservation. Jules Charles Choquet Pupil of Henri Harpignies and Denis Bergeret, he exhibited at the Salon des artistes français of which he was a member, in 1929, the painting La halle, Le Faouët (Morbihan), received an honorable mention there in 1888 and obtained a medal of bronze at the Universal Exhibition of 1889. He is known for his urban landscapes of Paris and his still lifes of flowers.
