High quality lambswool velvet called "kork" and silk, made on silk.Delicate rug with central ivory medallion inlaid with foliage, garlands of arabesque flowers surrounding a sky/night blue starry medallion on a poppy red background.
These rugs are made in the city of Isfahan in southwestern Iran. They are considered today as some of the finest Persian rugs.They are characterized by very high density, richly detailed patterns and high quality materials.

Condition : Slightly worn edges, a few white knots visible in the red background, shortened fringes, small folded velvet defects on one edge (visible in the photos).
