"Bronze Signed Fratin"
Large bronze signed Fratin on the base representing the return of a lioness from hunting with an antelope in her mouth for her young. This bronze with a nuanced brown patina presents a beautiful carving rich in detail. Old cast of good quality by a sculptor Christophe Fratin (1801-1864) who has often been compared as the main competitor of Antoine-Louis Barye, the master animal sculptor of the 19th century.
