'Carved and gilded wooden frame from the 19th century (87x72) The painting is a variant of the painting by Jean-Baptiste Pater (1695-1736) made in 1720, and kept in a private collection. Our painting retains the freshness of the original, the painter has added variants such as the muzzle of the donkey, the young woman at the bottom left and the little girl leaning against the barrel in the center of the composition. For the quality of the work and the pictorial similarity we can attribute our painting to the entourage of Jean Baptiste Pater.
