The bottle is made of glass, round in section with cut sides.
It is divided into two compartments, one for the salt, the other for the perfume.
The frames and hinged lids are plain silver vermeil.
The compartment for the perfume opens with a small push button, the sealing is done with a glass plate mounted on a spring in the lid.
The second compartment, for the salt is closed by an emery plug unfortunately broken and blocked in the bottle.
The bottle is hallmarked:
. Boar's head for solid silver
. Goldsmith's hallmark partially struck and illegible
Very beautiful object of high quality, with thick silver mounts. It is relatively rare to find such bottles of French manufacture, these being more generally English.
