"Augustin De Saint Aubin (1736-1807), Portrait Of Mademoiselle De Furcy"
This oval drawing shows us the profile of an elegant woman from the beginning of the reign of Louis XVI, drawn by Augustin de Saint-Aubin in 1777. Our elegant woman is represented in profile, the face turned towards the left, the hair raised and falling in curls on the nape of the neck, she wears a low-cut yellow silk bodice adorned with a rose. Unlike most of these "portraits drawn in graphite mixed with a little pastel" sent by Augustin de Saint-Aubin to the Salons where he exhibited between 1771 and 1789, we know the identity of the model and the date of 'execution. It is Mademoiselle de Furcy, as annotated above, and the drawing dates from 1777.
This drawing is offered with its original Louis XVI gilt frame (size 28 cm x 25 cm).
Good general condition, despite some stains in the upper part of the drawing.
