Box of 12 mocha or verrine spoons in silver metal from Maison Ercuis with handle called "à la russe" decorated with acanthus leaves, scrolls and pearls. Centaur hallmark flanked by the letters O and E of the Ercuis house and an "Ercuis 18" hallmark.Period 1st half of the 20th century.

The Ercuis factory is an important French goldsmith house founded in 1867 and still in operation today. It is known for its production of silver-plated cutlery and tableware. At the end of the 19th century, it benefited from the strong development of silver metal goldsmithery with more than 300 workers in 1892. In 1908, it produced more than 8,000 cutlery pieces of all models per day. The important factory is located in Ercuis in the Oise, hence the name of the goldsmith.
