"19th Century Wine Pipettes From Tokay (hungary) In Blown Glass"
These bulb pipettes are long blown glass tubes, bulging at the top. They fill with wine when they are immersed in a barrel. By plugging the upper hole with your finger, the wine is retained in the pipette by vacuum. The sample can be taken to be tasted or analyzed. This is how the tastings were done in the cellar, in the barrel, before bottling.
These pipettes can be sold separately at a price of 230€ each.
Length 90cm. Bulbs 25 x 16 cm and 20 x 13 cm
