"War Club, Vanuatu - Oceania "
Brown wooden Vanuatu war club. The circular handle of the weapon ends at each point in the shape of an ogive. The sculpture of the mace is more unusual: it is formed of a star-shaped prism decorated on each side with a large button of monoxyle wood. A comparable weapon model is referenced in the collections of the Musée du Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac under inventory number 71.1960.23.26. Good condition ; an old fel on the tip of the weapon and a lack of wood on the mass of weapon.
