In 1857, the German engraver and merchant of Jewish origin, Ludwig Moser, set up his family's factory in Karlovy Vary, specialising in the manufacture of hand-blown, cut, engraved or painted glass, in pure or coloured crystal.
The reputation of Moser's crystal crosses borders thanks to international exhibitions, including Expo 58 in Brussels.
Glass services, decorative objects of all kinds and glass engravings reproducing the paintings of famous artists were commissioned by eminent personalities from all over the world: popes, kings, emperors, shahs, heads of state and government, diplomats, which earned the Moser brand the title of "glass of kings".
The perfection of the handcrafted workmanship that makes each product an original, the quality of the handmade engravings and ornaments and the timeless style make the brand a family treasure of the Czech Republic and a leader on the world market.
How did the Moser brand manage to conquer the world?
In fact, it focuses exclusively on the production of lead-free glass. Although working with this raw material is difficult, the result is worth it, because lead-free glass is distinguished by its brilliance, its brilliance and above all its hardness, which allows detailed cutting and engraving.
In addition, it gives designers the opportunity to process Moser glass, which is typically very transparent, in gemstone colours. The resulting products stand out for their beauty and their combinations create stunning optical effects.
