"Large Carved And Gilded Provencal Console, Louis XVI Period"
Superb and large console from the 18th century in recahmpi and gilded wood. It rests on 4 console legs connected to each other by an X-shaped crotch decorated in its center by an urn decorated with garlands. The base is decorated with acanthus leaves and moldings as well as a garland of openwork leaves going all around the console. The jump belt includes a row of pearls and rounded Greek nets, the assembly dice are decorated with daisies in gilded wood. The set is topped with a period projection top, painted in imitation of marble. Louis XVI work from the south of France, console large in size and above all of a superb quality of sculpture. It is in perfect original condition, and spectacular in the richness of its ornamentation and its proportions.
