"Console With Chimeras, C. 1730"
Rare console in gilded oak from a Parisian work around 1730. It is curved on toris faces, richly carved with large vine branches, an openwork shell in the shape of a bat's wing. It rests on four curved and counter-curved feet. The front legs are adorned with a rolled-up chimera. They end with an involute acanthus and receive a spacer decorated with a large cartouche and a large leafy opening. Bois-Jourdan marble. Sculpture restorations. A remarkable piece.
