Delft Earthenware Lamp, Eighteenth Century.

This large lamp consists of a Delft earthenware vase, the rich decoration, in the style of China, in blue on a white background, is made of arabesques of palm leaves and stylized flowers, geometric patterns. Of significant dimensions, the vase alone measures 65 cm, the set with the lampshade 100 cm and the width of the foot is 27 cm. It was electrified some time ago and the electric wire, although in good condition, should be replaced, the silk covering the plastic wire is worn. A jump of enamel is to be noted on the body. We present it with the lampshade it had when we acquired it, but it is no longer impeccable. It bears on the back the mark of the factory "Les deux sauvage" which belonged to Mattheus Van De Boogaert from 1750 to 1765. Eighteenth century period.
