"Revival Of The Work "mars Et Venus" By Nicolas Poussin"
The canvas that we offer is a reproduction of the period and of equivalent quality to the work "Mars and Venus" exhibited at the Louvre. It is a fragment of a larger canvas, which also presents variations in comparison to the work from the collections of Louis XIV. Indeed on this canvas the drapery has been moved and a character in the background has disappeared. It should be noted that "Mars and Venus" from the Louvre was officially attributed to Nicolas Poussin in 2004. Dimensions without frame: 87 cm x 76 cm Note: sold as is, require major restoration
