Antique Grand Tour Fan Rome

We present an extraordinary antique Grand Tour fan with the Colosseo in the middle of two views of the Foro Traiano. The paintings are very detailed and are surrounded by lovely decorations of  "festoni", grottesco masks and detailed "greca" motifs. These are three beautiful miniatures paintings of Rome ! Moreover look at the back preciously decorated in grottesco style with an amphora in the middle between two dancing angels. It is a very special antique fan, a typical souvenir for hight class Grand Tour tourists visiting Italy. The sticks are in bone carved and gilded and the guards have also a decoration of 14K Gold Piquè points. From Rome. Second half of the 19th century. Few restaurations.
