Amazing Inkwell, Wwi Folk Art, Copper, Leaf And Snake

Very amazing inkwell. In copper, in two colors, it rests on 3 saucer-shaped feet. A square body, serving as a receptacle for alcohol and wadding, to prevent either the writer's hands or the ink from freezing, closing wit screwed part. The upper part is in the shape of a leaf, on which rests the inkwell, and the pen holder, a snake wrapped around a smaller, added leaf. Very nice item of folk art, a work of the WWI, very probably, low quality of the welds, visible on my detailed photos..
European working, probably French, dating from the 1st world war, Circa 1915.
Very good condition, however a small reinforcement with pewter on snake's tail, the object will need to be cleaned.
