"XIXth Century Terracotta Of Greek Ladies Sculpture Ed Lanteri"
19th century terracotta sculpture representing ladies on a Neoclassical klismos chair, entitled "Duo" and signed "ED Lanteri". Edouard Lanteri (1848-1917) was a British sculptor of French origin, who taught at the National Art Training School in South Kensington. He was the art school's first professor of modeling and was involved in sculpture at the V&A museum, as well as writing books explaining composition in animal and human sculpture.
