A high carat gold bracelet set with Roman hard stone intaglios.

English, first half of the 19th century, the Intaglios all date from the 1st century BC - 2nd century AD.

Measures 17.5cm in length.

The subjects of the intaglios and measurements (including settings) are as follows: 

⁃ Amethyst (clasp) - Centaur - 1.25 x 1cm.

⁃ Lapis lazuli - Canopic jar - 1.2 x 0.9cm.

⁃ Banded agate - Bird on nest - 1 x 1cm.

⁃ Agate - Ears of wheat and barley - 1.1 x 0.9cm.

⁃ Pale amethyst - Cupid - 1 x 1cm.

⁃ Carnelian - Fortuna - 1 x 0.8cm.

⁃ Amethyst - Cupid - 1 x 0.7cm.

⁃ Carnelian - Zeus - 1 x 1cm.

⁃ Light chalcedony - Grazing horse - 1 x 1cm.

⁃ Cornelian - Griffin - 1.1 x 0.9cm.

⁃ Bullseye agate - Tortoise - 1 x 1cm.

⁃ Banded agate - Floral altar - 1.2 x 0.9cm.
