Norman Bayeux Wedding Wardrobe flag

Object description :

"Norman Bayeux Wedding Wardrobe"
Spectacular wardrobe from the Bayeux region in molded and carved oak.
The deep carving is very clear and abundant with many ornamental motifs: heart spokes, pearls, twisted ribbons, fusaroles, grooves, oves and naturalistic motifs: roses, daisies, apples, pears, pomegranates, peaches, grapes, fruit baskets and flowers and swans.
The medallions are carved one of two doves on a pedestal with a quiver, bow, arrow, roses and a flaming torch; the other of two flaming hearts in a vase on a pedestal, and a quiver, bow, arrow, grapes and roses.
The lower doors are carved with vine branches and grapes; the low crosspiece of a drapery in the center, surrounded by branches of roses.
Column uprights are molded and sculpted, finished with curved legs with a strong volute.
Iron trim and very beautiful cut-out entrances with lock, key and latch of the original left door. Two original shelves.
Beautiful light oak color, rare model to find.
