"Emile Gallé (1846-1904) Vase With The Virgin Vine In Autumn Art Nouveau"
Very beautiful open-necked multi-layered glass vase with a finely acid-etched decoration of a falling virgin vine adorned with the warm colors of autumn in Lorraine. The luminous background ranging from salmon to red-orange-pink is satin-finished by acid and the shiny reliefs by polishing. Signature "Gallé" in cameo. Here the whole Art Nouveau repertoire is implemented with this abundant decoration of branches laden with leaves and numerous berries. You will admire the delicacy of the carving, in particular that of the veins of the leaves, in relief for some, in intaglio for others, the richness of the colors, the beautiful movement of the leaves, some of which are slightly folded in on themselves as if under the effect of the breeze, the abundance of the well-furnished decor. A superb and rare color contrast! Height: 24.5 cm Good condition. Many other objects to discover in my stand at the antique fairs in which I participate.
