"Large Earthenware Dish From Langeais"
Large earthenware dish from Langeais which bears the Lille 1767 brand with crowned laurels. the whole is decorated with a scene of peasants in the style of the 18th century signed H. Tafori. We find this brand in the factories of Langeais at the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century which imitated the royal brand of Lille among others, such as Edmé samson, a fabulous copyist of the 19th century. The dish has a few égrenures with a good general condition and remains very decorative in view of its size.
