Trolley / rolling table with two glass trays in brass and rosewood 1950 Cesare Lacca. Made in Italy. Quilted on wheels. no scratches on glass Born in Naples in 1929, Italian architect-designer CESARE LACCA created modernist furniture and metalwork throughout the 1950s. Although details of his personal life and professional training remain lost in history, there are enough surviving primary sources that document his many elegant brass designs for which he is best known and which fetch high prices from collectors. Almost all of lacca's known designs were created in the 1950s, and unfortunately we don't know how his career developed from the 1960s. Today, cesare lacca is appreciated for his contribution to the identity of the Italian design and its ability to shape brasses and its timeless and highly sought after serving carts.
