"Half-moon Console Louis XVI Period"
Louis XVI half-moon console in boxwood and green-tinted sycamore veneer inlaid with interlacing. The belt opens with a drawer in front and two arched doors decorated with rows of pearls and falls in gilded bronze. It is supported by four sheath uprights simulating grooves joined by a spacer shelf topped with gray veined white marble. The set rests on four tapered legs also with simulated grooves. The veined white marble top is surrounded by an openwork gallery in gilded bronze. Parisian work attributable to IG Schlichtig received Master on October 2, 1765. He died in February 1782.
