"Suite Of Six Cut Crystal Plates From The 19th Century"
Beyond the lens known in Europe in the 18th century, after the successes of Georges Ravencroft in England, the great French crystal factories joined them and perpetuated the tradition in Lorraine; These plates, all intact, are decorated with "pastilled" motifs, born from the glassmaker's tool: qualifying them is difficult, except for the 32-pointed star which adorns their center. Born in the 19th century, it is miraculous that they have survived nearly two centuries without suffering and continue to delight us with their delicacy and simplicity.
